Project Overview
MyJobDNA is an interactive platform designed to help users discover their ideal career paths through a personality-based quiz. Users receive a unique 3-letter DNA code that corresponds to curated job recommendations, helping them explore careers in a fun, personalised, and engaging way. The platform combines quiz logic, user dashboards, and downloadable certificates, all built to be mobile-friendly, visually appealing, and connected to TheBIGJobsite's job listings.
Objective
Design and develop an interactive web platform that guides users toward ideal career paths through a personality-based quiz. The platform needed to be engaging, intuitive, and fully responsive, offering personalised MyJobDNA results, curated job recommendations, and downloadable certificates—all while connecting seamlessly to TheBIGJobsite.
Core Challenge
Building a fun, accurate, and scalable quiz experience from scratch presented both UX and technical challenges. Key hurdles included designing an intuitive quiz flow, generating meaningful DNA results, creating a dashboard for logged-in users, and integrating certificates and job data in a way that maintained speed, responsiveness, and clarity across devices.
Validation & Next Steps
Before launch, the platform was designed with validation and scalability in mind. Early concept mapping and UX flows ensured the quiz experience was intuitive, the DNA logic accurate, and the dashboard interactions clear, providing a solid foundation for real user testing and ongoing optimisation. Early experience mapping helped validate the end-to-end journey—from quiz entry to DNA result and dashboard interactions—ensuring smooth navigation and logical handoffs. The modular component structure, built with the Next.js framework, supports scalable updates and future feature expansions. Planned usability testing will measure quiz completion, result engagement, and job click-through rates across diverse user groups to guide continuous improvement.
Future Enhancements
The MyJobDNA platform is built to grow, and several enhancements are planned to deepen user engagement, refine results, and expand functionality. These improvements focus on personalised career guidance, interactive dashboards, and sharing capabilities while maintaining a clean, responsive experience.

The Outcome
The MyJobDNA platform successfully delivered a fully responsive, mobile-first experience that guides users through a personality-based quiz to discover career paths. Custom branding, illustrations, and interactive components created an engaging experience, while a modular React/Next.js framework ensured scalability and future feature expansion.
